How to Hunt for Butterflies Chewing Bubblegum

Oct 15, 2011

Because butterflies are tricky creatures, trying to spot them blowing bubbles isn't as easy as spotting fairies in the bottom of the garden or a scary troll under a bridge.

To be successful you'll have to remember these ten facts:

  1. Butterflies like to blow bubbles behind trees, but that doesn't make them easy to spot! After all they are experts at being on the opposite side of the tree than you.
  2. You're most likely to find butterflies blowing bubbles on a warm, sunny day.
  3. Because it's more fun with two, butterflies love to blow bubbles with friends, so make sure you invite a friend to hunt with as well.
  4. No one knows how butterflies blow bubbles because they don't have tongues.
  5. Butterflies love bright colors, which is why they put on their most colorful wings every morning. Try wearing you're most colorful outfit while hunting.
  6. Be sure to pack a healthy snack. All good adventurers need to keep their energy up.
  7. Smile and laugh. Like everything in this world, butterflies are attracted to people that are having fun.
  8. Don't give up! Your group of butterflies could be just around the next turn.
  9. Don't forget to enjoy all the other great bugs and insects along the way. You may just happen to spot a worm parachuting from a tree.
  10. GOODLUCK!
